BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

We’re really looking forward to hosting you.

Itaiba is a space for slowing down, creating, and reconnecting with yourself, others, and the natural environment around you. These guidelines are here to keep things flowing for everyone.

1. YOUR BOOKING

  • Your stay is confirmed once payment is received
  • Until then, it’s considered an enquiry
  • Please take a moment to double check your dates and details

2. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE FLOW

  • Check-in: From 2:00 PM
  • Check-out: By 10:30 AM

If you arrive early or leave later:

  • You’re welcome to use shared spaces
  • We can hold your bags
  • Showers may be available depending on the day

3. PAYMENTS

  • A deposit (typically 30–35%) secures your stay
  • Remaining balance is due 30–60 days before arrival
  • Last-minute bookings are paid in full

Please note:

  • Bank and currency fees are your responsibility

4. CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES

  • Deposits are non-refundable

For the remaining amount:

  • 0–30 days before arrival: no refund
  • 31–60 days: 50% refund
  • 60+ days: partial flexibility depending on the situation

We may apply a small admin fee for changes.

5. WHEN THINGS ARE OUT OF ANYONE’S CONTROL

Sometimes life, weather, or travel plans shift unexpectedly.

In these cases, we’ll always try to find a fair and human solution but we can’t guarantee refunds for things beyond our control.

6. RESPONSIBILITY

  • Please take care of yourself and your belongings
  • We can’t take responsibility for loss, damage, or injury during your stay

7. TRAVEL PREPARATION

We recommend:

  • Travel insurance
  • Medical cover
  • The right visa for your stay

8. GETTING HERE

We can help connect you with trusted local drivers.

  • Transfers are arranged independently
  • Payment is made directly to the driver unless agreed otherwise

9. LIVING WITH THE SPACE

This is a shared environment, and how each of us shows up shapes the experience.

We ask that you:

  • Respect quiet hours
  • Be mindful of sound and energy
  • Treat others with kindness and awareness
  • Move through the space with care

If the environment is repeatedly disrupted, we may need to end a stay without refund.

10. IN NATURE

You’re staying close to the elements.

  • Expect animals, insects, and natural sounds
  • This is part of the experience
  • Please help us care for the environment by using resources mindfully

11. FLOW OF THE SPACE

  • Light maintenance or cleaning may happen during your stay
  • Occasionally, water, electricity, or internet may fluctuate, thank you for your patience when this happens

12. YOUR BELONGINGS & LAUNDRY

  • We’re not responsible for lost or damaged items
  • Laundry service is available onsite

13. LOCKS & CARE

  • A ₹1000 key deposit is required before receiving your locks
  • Lost or damaged locks will be deducted from this deposit
  • Any additional damage to the space will be charged accordingly

14. FOOD & NEEDS

If you have dietary requirements, please let us know in advance (ideally 30 days before arrival).

A FINAL NOTE

Itaiba is held by the land, by the people who pass through, and by the way we choose to be here together.

We ask that you move with a sense of care, curiosity, and respect, for the space, for each other, and for yourself.

If you listen closely, the rhythm of the place will meet you.
